Unlike many sales representatives, she has many years of experience in both residential re-sale and new homes. She sold new home construction, in several subdivisions on-site, for five GTA builders in Thornhill & (Thornhill Woods), Richmond Hill, (Upper Thornhill Estates), Vaughan ( Dufferin Hill Community), Oakville, Brampton & Newmarket. Therefore, as well as helping you buy or sell a pre-owned home, she can help you purchase a new home, and is versed in new home floor plan changes, contracts, construction and sale procedures. Irene was Toronto born, raised on a 2-1/2 acre ravine property in the Rouge Hill area of Pickering, lived in Willowdale for 19 years, Richmond Hill for 15 years and in Vaughan since 2000. Having raised a family and owned several homes, she understands from personal experience, the numerous anxieties associated with buying, selling, and relocating.

She has always been a busy people-person with many interests, and involvement in community volunteer work, while raising her two, now grown sons. Irene was a Scouts Canada uniformed leader for five years, and a competitive, prize-winning horticulturalist, growing for showing, while an active garden club board member for eight years. Being an excellent communicator, her volunteer speaking engagements at clubs and Seniors' Homes were mixed with humour and knowledge on plant care and horticulture.

Besides her passion for real estate and satisfying her clients needs, when time permits; she likes cooking international foods, is an avid reader, history buff, and gardener.

Irene believes that many people do not truly understand the tremendous complexities, changing rules, regulations, provincial & federal laws, and Agency relationships, governing Real Estate. This misunderstanding coupled with some exaggerated & false advertising claims made by some sales representatives can be very confusing to buyers and sellers, as well as, people thinking to enter the industry.

In recent years, for reasons such as, increased immigration, on-line real estate training (as opposed to interactive classroom instruction), course changes, and deletions, it has been easier to become licensed as a sales person or broker. Real estate agents come from many backgrounds, often with little or no previous business experience; former coffee-truck drivers, labourers, new immigrants with ESL, and many approaching it as a part-time hobby.

Little wonder that, over 80% of new sales representatives in the real estate industry do not last 3 to 5 years, and of the remaining 20%, over 90% have NOT been practising for at least 10 years.

Irene's professional business background has been in the financial, legal, sales & marketing fields for many years. Early exposure in the Bay Street accounting & legal fields, where seemingly small things, can have critical consequences, sharpened her attention to detail & negotiating skills. She knows that the correct use of the English language is critical in all legal documents and contracts. Freelancing for a top Toronto Real Estate Law firm added to her knowledge of potential legal problems to avoid during Real Estate transactions. Irene was also affiliated with the world-renowned Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto for 14 years, as the Chief Proctor for Examinations.

A firm believer in life-long learning, she continues to take Professional Development seminars and courses which are beyond the real estate industry's continuing education requirements, in order to keep updated and more qualified to serve her clients.
